I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As both boxers met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
